A small backyard room is where the Derdack success story starts in 1995. Inspired by the growing popularity of a sideline medium called SMS (Short Message Service) and the opportunities of the Internet, Derdack develops a software solution that through its flexibility and architecture proves a unique solution in the mobile communication market – “message master”.

1994: Matthes founds his first software business
1995: Matthes becomes 2nd prize winner in the German Mobile Data Award
1996: Derdack releases 1st Desktop SMS software
1996: Ronald joins Matthes initial software business
1998: Derdack develops web-to-SMS solution for O2 Germany
1999: Matthes, Doreen and Ronald found a limited corporation
1999: Software is licensed to Symantec, Mobilkom Austria and O2 Germany
2000: Launch of the Derdack Partner Program
2000: Derdack becomes solution partner of Vodafone
2001: Release of message master® xsp for mobile operators and service providers
2002: O2 Germany is the first mobile operator to deploy Derdack SMS software
2002: Derdack is invited to join Microsoft Mobility Partner Advisory Council
2003: First MMS software released
2003: Derdack wins Microsoft Mobile Solution Challenge Award
2004: Derdack is nominated for the German Innovation Award 2004
2004: Derdack releases new products for MMSC Access Management and Bulk XMS
2006: Derdack launches mms blogs for real-time sharing of pictures and videos
2006: Derdack becomes Microsoft Certified Partner with ISV Solution Competence
2007: Derdack launches its innovative notification workflow software
2008: Re-launch of Derdack corporate design
2009: Launch of message master® nx – next-gen messaging platform
2009: Derdack becomes Microsoft System Center Alliance Partner
2009: Derdack is awarded Microsoft Gold Partner status
2010: Derdack receives European IT Excellence Award
2010: Derdack receives Network Computing Award
2010: Derdack is honored with the Global Messaging Award
